The figurines you see on my pages are made in porcelain, not fabric.
Lace-draping is a delicate and traditional way of decorating china figurines, where cotton lace that has been saturated in liquid porcelain is applied onto the greenware. When the piece is fired, the lace burns away, leaving a porcelain filigree.

I have been interested in arts very much but I had not been expected to be an artist until I met this Porcelain Lace draping.

The first training on art was clay arts.
When I was a high school students in USA, the school was specific in arts, so I assigned the clay art for my major.
I mastered basic skills for clay besides the english ability.

I began with Sugar Art Decorating Cakes as a hobby under one of the famous instructor in Japan in my early 20's.
I mastered skills in making flowers in sugar and also coordinating colors.

I started making porcelain lace draping figurines in 1998, also china painting.
On the first day of my lesson, I realized my favorite means of expression was the lace draping figurines!!
All what I have subsequently mastered in my life destined to my lace draping artistry.
My English skill helps me a lot for importing the materials and information about the
lace draping from all over the world.

I was prized The BEST OF THE SHOW and The BEST IN PROFESSIONALS from the Ceramic & Doll Show in CA,USA ,in 2003 . I continue to educate myself as well as keep up with all the latest products and methods to improve the art.

My porcelain figures show exceptional artistic skill and refinement.
My works have been sold internationally to collectors and enthusiasts.
I am also one of the very few lace draping instructors in Japan now.
I offer private instructions of lace draping in my studio” Atelier Precieuse”

Please feel free to come by and see for your self just how much there is to see and enjoy at my studio .
